| BORN FOR A PURPOSE CONCEPTS Mission Statement: Born For A Purpose Concepts: The mission and purpose of this faith based program is to facilitate the successful reentry of ex-offenders into society and reuniting them with their families. This program will be provided in a “half-way-house” or residential setting and will provide housing, counseling, food, clothing, skills training, and more. The participants in this program will also receive counseling in the areas of employment skills and obtaining employment, budgeting, nutrition, survival skills, community relations, education, and family management. By participating in these self-help programs, each participant will find the courage and learn the skills necessary to become a successful citizen and will have a new beginning on life. In conjunction with the BFAP Concepts, there will also be volunteer counselors, teachers, community organizations, ministers, and other helpers from the community who will assist in preparing these individuals for successful community living. THE VISION: Bridge the gap between ex-offenders and at-risk youth, with a successful future. The purpose of this concept is to provide the tools and support necessary to assist ex-offenders of all ages, races and gender, in a successful transition from socially rejected behavior, and/or from being incarcerated, to a life that promotes the well being of the individual and the community in which he/she is released. Additionally, it is the goal of BFAP to provide ex-offenders with the necessary support, that will assist the individual in maintaining freedom from re-incarcertion, thereby increasing the individuals chances for success.
